We are seeking an experienced Warehouse/Shipping Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our warehouse and delivery of finished goods to customers. Managing a small stores staff, you will be required to maintain the high standard of quality, efficiency and productivity in Tredwell. You will report directly to the production manager but co-operation between production, engineering and stores will be essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage staff.
  • Ensure production is efficient.
  • Deliver updates and reports as and when required
  • Assist with ad hoc problem solving & route cause analysis
  • Onboarding & Training of new staff members
  • Identify opportunities to improve work processes and methods
  • Participate in relevant meetings e.g. Planning, Health & Safety.
  • Carry out the necessary day to day administrative duties.
  • Identify, plan and implement the necessary training required for the team and individuals and provide cross training as required on all processes.
  • Carry out regular cycle counts.
  • Ensure stock is stored correctly and FIFO is implemented
  • Maintain a good relationship with couriers to ensure on time delivery to customers

Requirements:

  • Strong communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Analytical, numerically astute with strong proven problem solving abilities
  • Results orientated with the ability to plan and deliver against project deadlines
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
  • Proven experience in people management, preferably within a warehouse environment
  • Ability to add value, reduce costs and make business improvements
  • Good knowledge of electrical part and components would be an advantage but not
  • High attention to detail
  • The ability to be calm under pressure.
  • Good communication.
  • A willingness to take on responsibility.
