We are seeking an experienced Warehouse/Shipping Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our warehouse and delivery of finished goods to customers. Managing a small stores staff, you will be required to maintain the high standard of quality, efficiency and productivity in Tredwell. You will report directly to the production manager but co-operation between production, engineering and stores will be essential.
Responsibilities:
- Manage staff.
- Ensure production is efficient.
- Deliver updates and reports as and when required
- Assist with ad hoc problem solving & route cause analysis
- Onboarding & Training of new staff members
- Identify opportunities to improve work processes and methods
- Participate in relevant meetings e.g. Planning, Health & Safety.
- Carry out the necessary day to day administrative duties.
- Identify, plan and implement the necessary training required for the team and individuals and provide cross training as required on all processes.
- Carry out regular cycle counts.
- Ensure stock is stored correctly and FIFO is implemented
- Maintain a good relationship with couriers to ensure on time delivery to customers
Requirements:
- Strong communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
- Analytical, numerically astute with strong proven problem solving abilities
- Results orientated with the ability to plan and deliver against project deadlines
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
- Proven experience in people management, preferably within a warehouse environment
- Ability to add value, reduce costs and make business improvements
- Good knowledge of electrical part and components would be an advantage but not
- High attention to detail
- The ability to be calm under pressure.
- Good communication.
- A willingness to take on responsibility.
